The Red Mule Runners Scholarship Fund

Purpose:To award one (1) deserving boy or girl with a $1,000 Scholarship.

Qualifications: Any graduating high school senior from an accredited high school within Hernando County, pursuing a post high school education, and has participated in high school cross-country and/or track, is eligible.

Requirements: A typed essay (300 words minimum to 500 words maximum), including your future plans, career goals, sports achievements in cross-country and/or track, academic achievements, and community involvement.  Include your name, address, telephone number, and name of your high school.

Include in your track achievements, if applicable, the events in which you participated, and if you are planning to participate in cross-country and/or track in college. Also include the schools to which you plan to apply.

References:Attach on a separate sheet of paper two (2) non-related character references including their name, address, telephone, and occupation.

Interviews: The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to interview the finalists to make their final determination.
